Exploring one object for a week through observational drawing.

Since I was aware of my upcoming brief, I had a sneaky peak in the studio at the busy table laid out for us.  I had my eye on this object because I knew I would have so many possibilites of drawing this intricate, mechanical object, with a very textured/rusty surface and the added contrasting scraps of material.

On day one I focused on the decayed surface, as that what initially drew my interest to the object...
