the studio sink

As I was washing my paint brushes, i started to look closely at all the paint that had started to build up...

This is gorgeous, (draining board) and actually looks like a painting.  There is something beautiful about the flowing, light, turquoise marks here.  I love how these are clearly accidental marks, as tutors often say anyway: mistakes and accidents are generally a good thing.

Since this is a pot which students have used to fill with water, it was evidently going to become layered with paint.  I do still find this interesting though, because the marks here are fine/delicate, in comparison to the acrylic layers left behind on the sink/tap.

This was the most interesting area that I discovered whilst taking these photographs of the sink.  These are stunning marks which was located next to the sink.  This is almost like a design drawing/illustration.  I could almost make textiles from this drawing!  My guess is that these were marks left from the bottom of a jar which has been used to dip paintbrushes in and it had been left there for quite a while.  Even so, where have all the circles come from? someone could have drawn/doodled into this, or was it just another accident...?
